FBI email to FFLs in NY 08.23.2023
Update note 09.09.2023: this appears to be the first of (now) five FBI e-mails of similar nature, content, and attachment.
FREE download of the FBI’s email to FFL dealers in firearms and pawnbrokers with NY dealer licenses, informing them that as of Wednesday, September 13, 2023, the FBI-NICS will disconnect FFLs from the federal NICS system. This will force FFLs with NY dealer licenses to perform background checks through the NYS Police, as intermediary.
